Components of the Bush Tent System
The Bush Tent: The tent footprint measures 12’ x 15’. It has 4 side windows and a front and rear door opening. The roof of the tent is made using light weight cotton for maxim breathability whereas the side walls are constructed with polyester vinyl to protect from weather degradation. The triangular openings in the front and rear allow for simplified and interchangeable door or screen window options. The heavy 11 oz vinyl floor is removable, and can be purchased separate from the tent.
The Canopy: The canopy can be purchased in heavy vinyl coated polyester in a variety of colors or the lighter weight Khaki colored 8 oz poly tech material. The intended use of the tent will determine which the best choice is for you.
The Frame – options:
- The Frame Complete kit includes angle-fittings, leg ends, cables, ties, web straps and poles. Tension cables strengthen the frame nicely by crisscrossing the sides and one end to make an internal guying system. This anchors the frame to the ground without side guy lines – the only guy lines on the Bush tent are the 4 corner guys on the canopy.
- Frame Angle/Hardware Kit includes all hardware minus the poles. This option saves on shipping costs. We supply a cut list for 1 3/8 inch steel top rail fence tubing that can be purchased at a local hardware store.
- An additional option is to build your own frame using welded steel, wood construction, locally sourced materials such as bamboo or lodge poles.
- Privacy Screening can be ordered separately and is useful for protecting the sides and ends of the tent from horizontal weather and/or can be used to make a shower stall or mudroom outside the tent. The screening is attached to the canopy frame.
