Description
The Shackleton Canvas Tent
Our new Shackleton Canvas Tent is a square Torrent Tent and is the inspiration behind it. The Historical Shackleton Tent was a single pole square teepee with several side poles holding up 4 vertical walls. This interpretation of the Shackleton is also a square single pole tent, but with a raised door entry. The side and back walls are vertical without the need for any poles.
The Shackleton Tent is a more wind worthy version of the Torrent Tent. Both tents have 8 guy lines and offer a 2’ standing wall. Your choice between a sewn in floor, removable floor, or a no floor with a sod-cloth. The required center pole allows for the an ideal stove location in the center of the tent, allowing for even distribution of heat. “It’s a beautiful thing!”

Special thanks to Dave and his team who guided me through the purchase of this tent and shipping it to Canada. It is a great product and very easy to setup and take down.

I’ve been testing this out since it arrived. It took a while to setup, then I watched the setup video again and 15 min setup time is true. The angle tent stakes suck to out into frozen ground, next time will be with long steel nail tent stakes. The stove jack is perfect except for the sticking in the Velcro part which is removed to allow the pipe out.
