Not since Christmas days of my youth have I been so excited, and not since my many years of adulthood have my expectations been so surpassed. As context to my review, I am a 56 year old female with a 46” bedroll.
The canvas is substantial yet not scratchy in the least to my sensitive skin. The industrial strength zippers glide with ease. The pad is perfection, too. I am no spring chicken and travel solo, so my back appreciates the ease to roll up the system and carry it without straining. As you can see, my 12 year old Beauceron has claimed the cowboy roll (and the French have discriminating taste).
I was considering two other canvas bed roll companies that you see on social media. What made me pull the trigger on this one is its simplicity. No big bug screens to zip in (this one comes built in), no tricky multiple (and breakable) arch support rods to fiddle with (just two discreet poles) that you can use if need be. This cowboy roll’s design is functional perfection to say the least.
As soon as I get my acreage, I will be getting the Split-Torrent tent.
